Hong Kong’s High-Altitude Hospitality

Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong, China

In the heart of Kowloon, Hong Kong, a 1,600 ft commercial skyscraper reaches 118 stories into the heavens. The International Commerce Centre is one of the tallest buildings ever constructed, but it also claims the highest luxury hotel in the world. Take an eighty-second elevator ride to the 103rd floor and you'll be welcomed by a world-class staff at the entrance of the 5-star Ritz Carlton. First, you'll be seized by your location among the clouds and the panoramic views that surround you. Next, you'll saunter into a sophisticated lobby showcasing an eye-catching ceiling mural and a rich, contemporary design with cultural elements. Singapore's LTW and Kohn Peterson Fox conceived the hotel's architecture and interiors to reflect the essence of the city: high-powered finance, global hospitality and modern luxury. It was decidedly incorporated as a multi-purpose and multi-corporate building as a means for sustainability and addressing population growth. The result is an innovative composition that provides a unique hotel experience. Though you won't be dipping your toes in ocean waters or laying in powdery sands, this Ritz is ideal for business travelers connecting to an economic Mecca or tourists exploring the dynamic metropolis. Its quality location provides access to the West Kowloon Cultural District, the Canton Road shopping center in Tsim Sha Tsui, the space museum, countless restaurants and much more.

On the 100th floor of the towering skyscraper, Sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck boasts 360-degree views of Victoria Harbor and the city's skyline. Developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties, it includes features on local culture and stories via regular festival campaigns and multimedia exhibits. Café 100, operated by the Ritz Carlton, is the first café to be located in an observation deck, offering guests sky-high dining 393 meters above sea level. Since 2011, sky100 has welcomed visitors from more than sixty countries worldwide.

Suites & Rooms

The soaring hotel hosts 312 rooms and suites across seventeen floors, each offering views of the city and water. With large windows and smart, contemporary décor, interiors blend modern opulence and a high-class office aesthetic. Premium rooms and upper suites are gifted access to the Club Lounge, an exclusive upper level offering a meeting room, library, personalized business services and complimentary culinary presentations.

The Ritz Carlton Suite -- Victoria Harbour is the hotel's preeminent residence, occupying four thousand square-feet over the seventeenth floor. Its lavish, white-collar interior is adorned with sleek glass, gold accents and a touch of cultural patterns. Large, floor-to-ceiling windows circumvent the penthouse, providing unrivaled views of Victoria Harbour no matter where you are. An ornate dining room is dominated by its illustrious chandelier that nearly covers the entire ceiling, while the living features a mirrored roof and clean lines. A full marble bathroom includes a rainforest shower, an oversized soaking tub at its center and dramatic mountain vistas.

Spa & Swimming

The Ritz Hong Kong Day Spa elevates leisure and luxury to new heights… literally. Located on the 116th floor, this serene urban retreat claims eleven treatment rooms and a variety of massages, facials and rituals, including a Lava Shell Jet Lag Solution. Just two floors up, the fitness studio provides extensive Technogym and cardiovascular equipment, as well as a fleet of treadmills facing floor-to-ceiling windows and gorgeous views. The hotel infinity pool is situated on the same floor, also bordering lofty windows, and displays a 28m x 7m mirrored ceiling and LED paneled wall which reflect soothing colors against the water's surface. The spa also offers the Harbor View Suite Retreat, where couples can receive hours of treatment and three course cuisines in a private nook high above the clouds.

Restaurants

Of the six, unique dining experiences available at the Ritz, Hong Kong's Ozone bar makes the biggest impression. Sitting on the 118th floor, this stylish rooftop bar is one of the highest in the world. Jagged, honeycomb textures adorn the ceiling, walls and floor, while a striking, blue-hued ambiance perfectly harmonizes with sweeping views of the city. The bar serves small plates, such as maki and sushi, as well as inventive cocktails, and includes live music, a DJ and an outdoor terrace.

The hotel also holds the intimate Almas Caviar Bar, an ideal pre- or post-dinner rendezvous serving the world's finest caviar, and two Micheline-starred restaurants: Tosco Di Angelo, which presents innovative Italian cuisine and an open kitchen amidst opera-inspired décor, and Tin Lung Heen, an elegant setting on the 102nd floor and popular venue for traditional Dim Sum.

Luxury Venues

The Ritz caters to Hong Kong's reputation as a pulsating center for international business and corporations around the world with superior conference venues and opulent event spaces. Boasting coveted views of the city and a total of 17,000 square feet, these meeting rooms are exceptional settings for corporate dinners, IPO conferences and product launches. Its Diamond Ballroom is one of the largest in the city at 9,000 square feet, featuring custom glass designs and dazzling light fixtures. Experienced culinary and event teams, audio-visual experts and even wedding specialists are also available to ensure events are properly streamlined.
